MACC arrests company boss accused of forging documents to secure more than RM110 million in projects

Two company bosses were arrested by the Sabah Anti-Corruption Commission today after they were accused of receiving more than RM2020 million worth of repair works under the 110 economic stimulus package.

According to sources, the two men, aged about 40 years old, were arrested at around 2pm today at the Anti-Corruption Commission office in Tawau, Sabah.

It was added that the suspects allegedly created fake documents in 2020 to obtain repair projects under the 2020 economic stimulus package.

According to Sabah MACC director Datuk Karunanidhi, the two suspects have been arrested and will be investigated under Section 471 of the Penal Code (forgery of false documents).

He said the suspect who has been granted bail will be interviewed at the Tawau Sessions Court on August 8 (Wednesday).
